About James
Since first opening his own legal practice in 1996, James Peltier has worked extensively in criminal and civil trials. His current focus is helping injured people get the maximum compensation they’re entitled to after injuries that were not their fault, and his aggressive approach in dealing with insurance companies has made him an essential presence at Great West Injury Law.
James brings experience in many types of cases, including general personal injury, vehicle accidents, defective products, and workers’ compensation. His understanding of complex legal issues has earned him the respect of his peers and made him a leading voice in the personal injury field.
Born in Baton Rouge and raised in Houma, Louisiana, James attended both Louisiana State University and Nicholls State University during his undergraduate years. He graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 1995.
